I still prefer to describe what I do as a type of construction, and then ask the client to imagine trying to nickel & dime a hardhat the way he or she is trying to do with me. Much easier to walk away from such unsolicited renegotiations with a hammer shoved up your weaselly ass than a laptop, which usually requires getting a new ass ripped to handle the extra width.
