I still have a hard time recognizing Seattle without the traffic, but I've always enjoyed the chase scene from this late-period American International grinder, which totally doesn't begin in earnest with a straight rip of BULLITT's famous chase. [They must have forgotten to have a green Volkswagen make the same turn in back-to-back shots.] I think it's the cheapness that gives it more dramatic weight; it's clearly Stevens actually driving in so many shots that a bigger-budgeted production would have assigned to a stunt driver or to process shooting for star Connie Stevens' safety.
I admire this man's grit; if Stevens was chasing me in a dune buggy, I probably would have been crying too hard [take that any way you'd like] to be able to flee very far.
