The Grammar Nazi 11: Drink vs. Drank vs. Drunk

Drank is the common past tense for drink:

"I never drink ... wine."

"Dude, I drank myself unafraid-of-the-cops blotto last night. Touch where my liver is, it's kicking like a baby."

Much like actual drunks, the verb "drunk" should only go out with a helper verb:

"Good grief, that crazy fool HAS drunk himself blind."

This reminds me -- I refuse to believe that the word "shitted" exists, so you have "shat" your pants. Only allowable exception is Old Dirty Bastard's line "You've been shitted on!" from WU-TANG FOREVER. Like Lonnie Mack, Dirt McGirt is/was an island of grammar onto himself. R.I.P. O.D.B.
