Son of Question In A Bottle

I was just thinking about Michael Jackson's THRILLER album -- it was the best selling LP ever, right? But for all the junk shops, bargain basements and salvation armies I've pawed tens of thousands of records in over the years, I don't recall ever seeing THRILLER, ever. Where did all those copies go? They couldn't have all been trashed in protest of Jackson's diddletry. Maybe the initial sales were from Jackson's manager pulling a Brian Epstein, quietly buying a shitload of his client's record to blow it up the charts fast and get some free press. Or maybe there's a massive grave somewhere in New Mexico full of returned THRILLER vinyl and cassettes, like how Atari literally buried its E.T. game around the same time. I don't know, maybe they all turned into copies of Herb Albert and the Tijuanna Brass' WHIPPED CREAM AND OTHER DELIGHTS. (I swear, the last vinyl dump I dug through had almost 10 copies of that fucking record.) So, have any of youse ever found a copy of THRILLER anywhere outside of record stores?
